BOB MARTENS is a graduate of Michigan State University. Bob started out
in the insurance business then switched to public accounting,
before finally switching to the used car business. "My parents
always said to enjoy what you do, and do something that gets
you up in the morning long after life's routine has
eroded your desire."Bob likes to buy cars. He is discerning and conscientious. The trick, he says, is to look at enough cars and become proficient in judging the wear and tear. When prices are really high on certain products he will shift the product mix to vehicles that are still values. We stock about 35-55 cars and trucks and we generally sell 20-25 a month. Most of our customers are repeat or referral customers. The best customer is a repeat customer. Bob enjoys boxing and likes to coach football. He enjoys motivating kids and telling his young charges that, "there is not a single person alive that did not have to first do something they didn't want to do in order to get to the 'something' they did want to do."

STEVE DECK enjoys
working with people and playing a few rounds of golf in his
spare time. As a career salesman, Steve builds his customer
base through repeat sales and service. Steve has sold 16
cars to one family alone. It is clear people trust Steve with
their used car purchase and know he is going to treat them
fairly. Steve tries to make your purchase decision easy and
stress free. He is very knowledgeable about the products he
sells and his goal is to make you a repeat customer."Steve is also very eager to be of service to you,” remarked Bob. “Recently he tried to beat me in answering the phone while he was sitting in front of my desk. When the phone rang, he reached over the desk and nabbed the phone. As he sprung up to grab the phone, the back of his knees pushed his chair out. He had beaten me to the phone, and started to sit down with this smug look on his face. But his confidence quickly evaporated as he realized the chair wasn't under him any longer! He hit the floor laughing, but still declared victory at answering the phone first. We both had a good laugh." |
